Although normally we always have excellent service from Drs etc. we waited an extra 45 minutes yesterday for our appointment as the Drs were running behind. Fortunately I have a patient (literally!!!) 6 year old!!!

Thank you for your feedback - I am disappointed to hear that you were waiting this long. Sometimes a long wait is unavoidable, depending on emergencies and whether or not patients before you have taken up more than their allocated appointment duration, but I would hope that my Reception colleagues would keep you updated with what is causing the delay. We would also happily offer you the opportunity to visit the park with your 6 year old and we would be able to text you when you were next to be called, if possible. I hope you were offered these options but if not please do contact me at emmybutcher@nhs.net or 01249 821831 so that I can use it as a training need for the appropriate staff members. I was initially told I would have to wait over 3 weeks to see the doctor but when I said that was unacceptable the receptionist said that if I liked she could get the doctor to ring me after surgery which he did and after I told him about my knee he gavee an appointment for the next morning. There was a bit of a wait to see the doctor on the day but I didn't mind that it was better than waiting 3 weeks.

Usual waiting time but then efficient appointment with both doctors and nurses. Good communication too.

.A brilliant experience, just been for a diabetic check, sailed through, although 10 mins after appointment, but no problem. Diabetic check very thorough, and also earlier in the year needed treatment for back and leg problem, which was sorted out in literally 4 weeks at a private patient, but paid for by NHS. Couldn't wish for a better surgery.

I love this surgery and normally the Drs i see here, on this occasion i saw Dr Thornton a locum and i will not be seeing him again. I have a mental health condition and the style of his questioning made me feel awful and i can actually say ruined my day.
