Calling to make appointments is tough. Hold for up to 20 mins to be hung up on. THREE TIMES! The on line appointment system is just as bad. There's never any appointments available... Whats the point in it?!?! Think I'm going to Look for another practice.

every time i call this surgery i spend 20 mins on hold only for the phone to be picked up and hung up on. The last time this happened was today at 14.11 and i hope the manager of this so called surgery listens to this call log. its disgusting that i have to physically come into the surgery to get an appointment as its the ONLY the way to speak to some one. this is impossible for me 48 weeks of the year as i work mon to fri 8.30-5.30 and cannot get out of work just to book an appointment.

for a doctors surgery I think it is appalling that you have to wait in a cue to get to speak to someone when you need a doctor you need to speak to a receptionist immediately not have to wait 20 mins

I was due a repeat prescription for 2 items but the Doctor only put one through to the Surgery. I phoned the surgery reception and the receptionist acknowledged that I'd spoken to Dr Meek and that the other item hadn't been sent as the described notes suggested. I was advised to leave it a day and then collect from reception. Five days later I'm standing in a queue for 15 minutes as the reception desk is manned by one and woefully understaffed, but that's NHS funding in its current state. The receptionist had no note of the phone call to reception and there was no prescription waiting. That was my lunch break wasted. Considering its size this surgery should have more of a flagship status but is understaffed and poorly managed.

Dr. Weeks is probably one of the best doctors I have met. He looked after me in a difficult situation and arranged emergency appointments with the hospital. Unfortunately he is let down by the uncompromising appointments system and telephone answering. I tried to call from 8:30am for 45 minutes to make an appointment, that was in response to a letter from the Surgery asking me to make an appointment. I had tried previously but told firmly that telephone appointments were required on the day or I would need to wait for a couple of weeks for an actual appointment. Having been through a 14 day appointment with the hospital very successfully I am surprised that the Surgery are less so. I'll keep trying to call!
