I was booked in for a cervical smear routine appointment. Took ages for me to get through to make the appointment. Then I was rang by the surgery the day before to cancel it due to staff shortages/sickness (not sure which). Booked another appointment having to wait weeks for this type of appointment. Attended the appointment to be told I wasn’t booked in. On the receptionist asking what the appointment was for, I was told a letter had been sent out to me around 1400 hours the previous day cancelling the appointment as they did not want fit and healthy patients at the surgery for these type of appointments!!! How was I ever going to receive a letter to inform me my appointment was cancelled in time for an 0840 appointment the following day? Beechwood you have excelled yourself again. The receptionist was however lovely and extremely apologetic (not her fault). I appreciate the need for minimal appointments as such a time with the coronavirus however your communication is beyond poor. Sorry would not recommend this surgery to anyone.
