I phoned on a Friday for an appointment, and was told that there were none until the following Friday. I said that maybe an appointment with the prescribing nurse would suffice. The receptionist let out an audible sigh and said well in that case I could come in on Wednesday if I wanted to! I completely understand it is not her fault there aren't any appointments but her lack of care/customer service is inexcusable. The doctors do a good job here but are let down by certain (not all) unprofessional, disorganised and apathetic reception staff both over the phone and face to face. Prescriptions not oredered, appointments not made etc. And it really seems as if we are interrupting them when we ring the bell, they appear with less enthusiasm than I have seen in just about any other customer service situation. Also they need to speak more quietly when in the back room, it's not as confidential as they seem to think!
