It is the most obstructive system. Only geared for those who don't work,; those who can sit by the phone for at least an hour to get through....then the rest of the day to wait for a callback. It took me 120 phonecalls recently just to order a script (which SHOULD have been added to online meds). As a nurse myself, i FULLY understand the current pressures. However, this surgery has had MAJOR issues since we'll before COVID. Bloods or scans are done and NO follow up for the patient.

Suggested improvements
There's not enough room here!!They should consider patients who work! I cannot take a call in work if I'm treating a patient. Likewise, i can't take a day off if I need to speak to a doctor. Have a system where NON urgent appointments could be made in advance? Why can we not have an online message service? This is the age of technology!! It's almost impossible to get through on the phone.....then the lines close at 11 am!!!! Ridiculous. Reception staff could learn a few manners. (I understand they may face verbal abuse at times, but do NOT start a conversation with the hostile, obstructive attitude that many present).
