I am now on my 3rd week of trying to get through to speak with a doctor on the advice from treatment room nurse. It's only certain days I can phone as I work and no way can I spend 30/40 mins holding on a line whilst I have customers. Today as usual, I was in a queue from just after 9am only to be told at approx 9.32 that lines are now closed. Try again tomorrow. This is absolute shambles of a system and something needs to be done URGENTLY.

Suggested improvements
Change your system. Most people can't take the day off work in hoping to get appointment, only to not even speak with receptionist. It needs to go back to being able to make appointments so as working people can arrange time off.
