I've been with this surgery for over 27 years and I should have made the decision a very long time ago to leave. The GPs are ok but only ok, they make lots of mistakes, never follow anything up so never get to the bottom of anything. It's incredibly hard to get an appointment and the staff can be very controlling and patronising. Health care is about supporting the patient not making them feel like they have no say. Patients also want to be treated fairly, respectfully and listened to and this is happening less and less. I've left with a row, having felt pushed out because I dared to question why I was being basically told I was a liar and didn't need thyroid medication as requested. They will NEVER admit THEY have made a mistake so they are not working in the interest of their patients and the worst is that as a result they will never learn from their mistakes.
Lovely doctors at this surgery. I do feel welcome and listened to when I'm seen to, although the receptionists are often interested in knowing my problems (which I have no intentions of telling anyone but the doctor).
