My husband recently underwent surgery at the Churchill Hospital Oxford, for cancer in his voice box. He was discharged last Thursday we tried to get an appointment to have his throat dressing changed and were told that there were no appointments for at least two weeks so we were advised to go to the drop in centre in swindon. There we waited for 3 hours and then had to leave as he needed to take his meds plus food and water through his PEG. Now he has to change his own dressing with no supervision from a professional. Will someone please tell me how that can be considered good treatment?
