I've been a patient at this surgery for approx 3 years. In that time, I've found one staff member that I prefer not to see after not diagnosing an issue I suffered for 10 months. Two other Drs I've trusted have now both retired. It's common to not be able to obtain routine appointments to see a GP, (although the wait time to see the Phlebotomist is slightly shorter) within 3 weeks of the request. One of course can call at start of day to request an appointment the same day - HOWEVER - in the past this has been possible, but recently I was given the 3rd degree and eventually offered a cancelled appointment slot a week and a half in the future. I've had many issues with the in-house Pharmacy; either the medication isn't in stock, or I've been issued the wrong medication OR the incorrect dosage printed on the label. One of my regular medications the Pharmacy refuse to dispense, as it's claimed they are not reimbursed by the NHS and I therefore need to go into Sleaford to obtain. These issues have now been remedied. I do understand the NHS is experiencing great difficulties, and although I try and make allowances for this I'm finding the service becoming more and more strained. CONSTRUCTIVE SUGGESTIONS 1. Try and recruit more GPs to enable shorter waiting times. 2. Consider implementing the 'Turn up and Wait' appointment system - set a limit of how many patients can be seen, and allow people to turn up, take a number and wait until their turn. I've been a member of 2 surgeries (not in Lincolnshire) and it worked very well)
