I moved to this general practice for 3 yrs and they are the best. Very caring and always listen and sort out any problems. I have since moved and never got this level of care. I miss this surgery so much and would like to thank everyone for the care I received while I was there

I got a nurse appointment within the hour for an emergency have lacerated my finger, Valerie was very helpful, but was not happy to leave the wound so Dr Latham sutured it with a minimal wait at he end of what was an already busy and overrunning clinic. Excellent service keeping me out of our stretched ED at YDH. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Poor availability due to part time gps. GPs on duty are reluctant to care for each other patients even giving advice when each other are not on duty. Perhaps more comprehensive cases notes required. Reception team could improve on their interpersonal skills when dealing with ill patients or their carers. Maybe more staff would manning the phones or desk would reduce the stress the reception project onto the patients or carers. The GPs are informal when speaking with their patients which can ease anxiety. When dealing with an on going illness genuine concern and support given by the gp when on duty. I find the systems used for managing cases loads for this practice somewhat inflexible in comparison to the way other surgeries run but at least you do get to see a doctor and no triage telephone consultation.

The Doctors, Nurses, and Reception and Dispensary Staff are all most helpful, and kind. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Everything is always explained clearly and advice given to improve ones health and prevent conditions is exceptional.

It is easy to get an appointment with any doctor (even same day) however female doctor appointment are often only available for next week only.

Response from the doctor - Thank you for your comments. We are aware that as we only have one female GP in the Practice her appointments do get booked up quickly. We are reviewing ways in which we can improve access to a female GP including ensuring we employ female locums when our current GP's are away on leave. Thank you.

All the staff, doctors, nurses, dispensery and receptionists are cheerful, helpful and go the extra mile. The surgery has recently been reorganised and the on site dispensery now has much more space. It is very important, especially to us older patients, to have this facility in a rural area.

Consultations are thorough and unhurried. You always leave feeling the appointment was worthwhile. The in house pharmacy is a boon.

I like the way the receptionists and doctors know you. The doctor has read your notes and knows your history and asks after your wife by name. Ethnic group is totally irrelevant. If we are treating people equally we do not need to know ethnic origins. Unfortunately your review insisted I fill this section in.
