Everything i call for an appointment i get told call in the morning between 8 and 830 so I do. I dont get into the queue between this time sometimes and they kick me off the call. I phone back and when I eventually get through they tell me all the appointments are gone. When i do get an appointment I get some doctor that isn't from here and not interested in helping me. The past few doctors ive seen have all told me its viral or thats it psychological. I phoned to get my cough seen to and because it hasn't been 3 weeks im not entitled to a doctors appointment. I told her I work for the NHS and her words and I quote was "well if you work for the NHS then you know that you have to have a cough for 3 weeks before you get seen to. Im moving on to my next caller. Good bye." Avoid westburn medical as much as possible!!! They aren't interested in helping anyone. The receptionist acts like bouncers for the doctors and your lucky if you can get past them initially.

I have been trying to get an appointment for months (and I am not joking). This is what happens you are told to call after 8am. You call just before 8am in the vain hope that somebody will pick up the phone. You then wait for anytime between 15-45 minutes to be told that the diary is full. It is only open for a rolling two weeks so try again tomorrow. You repeat this process several times. Then I went down on a down to make an appointment (silly me it was on a Friday they don't give out appointments on a Friday). So you start the calling process again. So I went down on a Thursday at 8am to make an appointment. I was asked to have a seat until 8.30. As I don't work next door this wasn't an option. I know that doctors and the medical service are under staffed but there has to be a better way. Westburn has been like this for a number of years now. We are luck we have relatively good health. But the time to see a doctor is just borderline dangerous now.

i wish to make a complaint about Westburn Medical Group , I had an appointment at 3pm today to see a doctor & on arrival the receptionist asked me to weir a face covering & so i told her that i was exempt & let her see my exemption card for masks & or coverings ' The receptionist laughed at me & said it's not a big deal to weir a face masc shouting through to her friends in the back office that i was refusing to weir one '' I then said I'm sorry but it's not about me refusing ' It's about me being exempt from wearing one ' She then told me to have a seat & that it was up to the doctor whether i got seen or not ' I then said to the receptionist that if i don't get seen ? this was a clear breach of my rights as I've shown you my exemption card she continued ridiculing me like she was making out that i was putting others in danger This is just not acceptable I'm a disabled man with numerous health problems & shouldn't have deal with this , I was well within the law & my rights.... I've had telephone appointments That they will only let the phone ring once & when i called to complain the receptionist was argumentative By saying that never happened ' Making me out to be Not telling the truth & the manager Kari miller Just dose not want to help It's always the patient that's wrong .. nightmare of a place

I have been treated appallingly. First time I've complained but huge mistakes go back years. Given wrong medications that weren't even what it was supposed to be. Ended up rushed to hospital and kept in fir a month. Told that Dr had almost ended my life. Yet he was going about saying to other Dr in surgery he'd saved my life. No he almost ended it but I was then diagnosed with the worst case of Hashimoto's disease they'd ever seen. Told by my team working with me that with all the many visits to Dr Reith he should of known to test for this or for anything looking in to it. Many mistake by almost everyone that's dealt with me there. 3 days ago I was told I had infection in leg and needed penicillin and now its Saturday morning. Just been to pharmacy that I was told it would be there. That and compression stocking, yet the prescription had not been done due to Dr not signing it. The surgery is closed so earliest be Monday. The treatment of individuals nowadays is terrible. The nurses are great though. Gone above and beyond but even just over a week ago nurse was taking off and putting on new dressing to 3 leg ulcers and when she saw it she said it was badly inflamed and went to get a doctor. Came back saying Dr was on phone. Fair enough but not even asked to wait til he's finished as I said I'd wait. No though, took 2 days to phone me yet even then it cannot be seen for assessment. Eventually I managed to get an appointment but 3 days later. Had 3 courses of antibiotics within even a dr seeing it. Now this again. Very unprofessional and let's hope this infection doesn't turn into something worse. Will be leaving this surgery. Over 20 years and many recorded mistakes. Sad, we put our trust in these unprofessional professionals
