Orchard House Surgery

Recently changed to orchard house as was having problems with my previous gp. I really really wish I hadnt. The service is appalling. Mainly from the receptionists and pharmacy. They have no idea what they are doing. When you ask for help you get told they can’t do it. They want everything put in writing??? My condition is far worse now and no one and I mean no one will help me! It’s scary and I’m fed up with it.

Have been complaining about same condition for a couple of years and that it's worsening. No investigation done, no referral to specialist, only told to keep taking same medication. Useless, complete disregard to patient care or health. Assuming they're more worried about their budget.

Used to be a friendly, welcoming practice. My named GP left about a year ago with no information given to patients. Very difficult to see a GP even when they have asked you to come for a return appointment. I have been on the same medication for 2 years with no medication review. My husband managed to have a minor procedure after referral to our local hospital without actually seeing a Dr. Still has the symptoms but will not call the surgery as says there is no point as nobody will see him.

2 hour wait for call back. Unhelpful receptionists. Made alterations to my repeat prescription without telling me. Took almost 6 hours to get the meds i needed and should have had in first place. When i went to complain the practice manager was on holiday so had to speak to business manager who clearly didn't care that i have a life threatening condition and their actions could have put my life in danger. They apologised and justified their actions by saying they were cost cutting. Obviously killing patients in the process is no concern. Disrespectful, unhelpful and untrustworthy.

Been a patient at Orchard House surgery for over 30 years. Have seen many changes some good some not quite so good. One thing that always stands out is that all of the Doctors at Orchard House are excellent and very caring and will go out of their way to help you.

I am a newly registered patient and have been in several times. I have always been plesently surprised by how easy it is to get appointments and love the telephone consultations as it saves me time as I don't need to leave work. The two doctors I have seen have both been very caring and empathetic, made me feel like a human rather than a number. Both listened to my concerns/needs and went out of their way to help resolve them. I would highly recomend this practice to anyone.

Good medical surgery. Only has a strange system of registration of patients ?? !!!!!
