I have been registered here and did receive some jabs but no follow up. I heard someone shouting about the surgery. Never had an appt a call nothing. Written to online as universal credit want a sick/fit note & cut benefit. Also avoiding as a neighbour who shouted abuse at me goes there. Popped in to see re appt & sick fit note pratically shouted at. I am not deaf. Told to go in at 7.45 to book appt well unable to sleep currently expected a dwp visit today.

Suggested improvements
  • Contact phone visit vulnerable patients that live nearby. Be kinder, civil on reception do not expect this as staff do not. Email back if someone is saying benefits back & no money. Surprised alive tbh but may not be much longer. Food may run out unless neighbour keeps helping and or benefits put back.

I rang the surgery for an appointment on Wednesday 13tg April 2022 only to be told they had all been allocated by the time I got through which was 09:15 after trying since 08:00 The receptionist made me an appointment for the 25th April but said if I needed to be seen earlier it maybe worth me visiting the surgery first thing in the morning to make an appointment in person SO on Thursday 14th April I travelled across Reading to the surgery for 08:00 ,only to be told all the doctors had covid and there were no appointments until after Easter ??!! One wasted journey across town feeling unwell ....

Suggested improvements
  • The receptionist must have known on the Wednesday that all the doctors had covid do why she suggested I visited the surgery in person is baffling to me ????

The Doctors are great but many of the receptionists are rude and unhelpful.. want to know too much about why you are calling and after today.. totally inappropriate! I have tried for a week to get a follow up appointment and its impossible! The advice I got.. just kept calling in! oh and the best comment! 'I am not exactly gonna come in early to book your appointment am I' What a rude and unprofessional comment.. especially as I did not ask for him to come in early OR even suggest anything like it! why even come out with a comment like that! so bad.. I am fuming.

Suggested improvements
  • Accept that not everyone has the time to call in for a specific appointment with a certain Doctor.. accept that we do not know their rota's so asking us to call every day and see is not acceptable. Train your receptionists to ensure that comments like the above never happen again. I need an appointment with the specific doctor one week after the first consultation - its over that time now and still no appointment.. why not allow this example book an advance appointment.. its crazy I am still without a follow up!
