Receptionists are rude, they have an attitude they never speak politely. I hate coming to the surgery and seeing the short brunette with the glasses at the desk and the old Asian woman is very dismissive aswell. Cant imagine how the others working with them cope. I spoke on the phone to the new reception manager last week and told him that his staff are making the surgery unpleasant and he was very apologetic and said it was a difficult week with the internet going down and everyone was having a difficult day. I assume he was just trying to be professional and defend his team but they've been awful for years!

Suggested improvements
  • Get them out. Speak to people like human beings. Take care when speaking.

I took my 2 year old boy to the surgery to an appointment that I managed to get on the day I called. We were seen by Dr Sharma. I was very disappointed and shocked by the way Dr Sharma dismissed the issue I have raised with regards to my little boy. He's developed a rash on his hand, which has not disappeared to this day. Upon reviewing it Dr Sharma stated she doesn't know what it is, but as it doesn't bother my son it's fine. Then Dr Sharma made a statement that I up to date cannot get over. She said 'You look at him too closely'. I mean what a statement to make coming from a GP? A person, who studied for years in order to properly with care assess and diagnose patients health concerns and says to a parent that? This is not a first time I have had negative experience with this GP and as it is one of the senior doctors at the practice it is worrying. As a parent I know my child and know when there is something wrong with him. I have been at the surgery numerous times over the years and most of the people that work there are great. I will make sure I will not be taking my children or myself to see Dr Sharma again.

Suggested improvements
  • Treat patients with respect and do not dismiss their worries and/or issues.

I came into see a doctor today as I had a appointment at 10am and my whole experience made me feel this medical centre is so disorganised and unprofessional its a joke, I waited for over 2 weeks to see a doctor, on the day of my appointment I was made to wait for 1 hour and 15mins and still didn't get to see a doctor. I asked the receptionist several times how long the doctor was going to be was only told Im next in the list, I ended up leaving as I had another appointment to go to, after paying extra money for parking as I was made to wait for so long. My next apointment has been booked for 19th May which is another joke so I wait over 2 weeks for a appoinment which never happened as I was made to wait, then my next appointment is a further almost 3 weeks away!!! Who is running this appauling surgery, the appointment system really needs someone who knows what they are doing to sort out.....how can you have no apointments avaliable for almost 3 weeks when i have been waiting for over 2 and Im made to wait 1 hour and 15mins and still didn't get to see a doctor....how is this even good practice????....its a disgrace!! And no, I don't wish to go to the urgent treatment centre when I had a time booked appointment to see a doctor, this really needs to be sorted out!!!.....TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!

Suggested improvements
  • Have a much much better appointment system which actually works, and if a doctor is running late like the one was today then a suitable alternative needs to be avaliable not offer a next avaliable appointment which is 3 weeks away!!!!!

I have been at this surgery since I moved to Gravesend 15 years ago. It has got steadily worse. You cannot got an appointment for at least 2 weeks. The doctors and nurses (not so much) are constantly changing, and the ones left, I am not impressed with. They seem to make lots of mistakes, and I am reluctant to make appointments. I am now seriously looking to change, even though it is the most convenient for me.

I suffer with severe mental health issues. I went to see the gp this morning as I have been really mentally unwell over the last 2 weeks. The gp said he didn't know what to do with me and didn't know what the answer was. He said he can fix a broken finger but said he doesn't know how to fix me. I wanted a referral to the mental health team but he was very reluctant. He said I should contact Mind for counselling. I explained to him I've just finished 12 sessions of counselling with Family Matters. He replied that the mental health team is busy and he'll only refer me once I've had counselling with Mind. I explained that my medication might not be the right dose as I've been on the same dose for a long while, and maybe it needs changing? Again he replied that I must have more counselling first. I felt upset when I left as I feel I didn't get anywhere with him. I know my own mind and know when I'm unwell, yet it seemed I was fobbed off. It's not my fault I have these issues and it's also not my fault that the mental health team are busy. I just want the help I need to feel better again.

I have struggled to get decent care and support and help for sometime until Dr Gul started she was amazing very understanding and thoroughly checked into everything and made u feel important and not taking up there time. Sadly she has now left so I'm back to the remaining annoying drs. I wish we was told what surgery she has gone onto as I would follow her to have her care. As the others all contradict each other and are very rude and dismissive and don't care what ur issues or pain is..

I am...struggling to see how anyone in their right mind can give this surgery 5 stars. One dr is dr 'no' she has refused creams for baby eczema skin in the past and told me to buy it over the counter. Another dr does not even let you warm the seat and won't look at you. How he can claim to train young doctors is a joke - hopefully they will learn how not to do things. The most senior doctor is always late and really none of them seem to care about their patients. The best doctor left earlier this year. Avoid avoid avoid. Terrible practice. Terrible staff.

Very efficient online booking system: logged on at 730am, saw Dr Ahmad at 900. As previous patients have commented; Dr Ahmad is excellent. Friendly, patient and very caring. I will always choose to see him if he is available.
