I have been at this surgery for over 22 years I have never ever asked for a home visit however I made the mistake today. I am in tremendous pain just discharged from hospital on Friday but I was spoken to in such a cold uncaring way. I do not know or understand what has happened tp this practice but am so so sorry that I now have to consider a change of doctor which wont be easy, but God help me if at the end I rely on this practice to help me.

Why does the web site say surgery opens at 8.30 when it opens at 8.00

Where do I start. I have been a patient of this surgery for 47 years before it was moved to its current location. But now I’m changing to absolutely anywhere else. The doctors are ok if you eventually get to see or talk to one. The problem starts and ends with the staff. They take great pleasure in telling you just how wrong you are no matter what medical advice you have received from elsewhere. Eg: resident doctors in hospitals, fully qualified nurses, paramedics, psychiatrists, and my own personal favourite my Surgeon who unlike them is at the top of his field. I recently went through major surgery and was lucky enough to be discharged over the weekend and was instructed to call my GP on the Monday morning to arrange an appointment for dressings to be changed. I did this only to be told that they don’t do anything like that and when asked what I do next I was told to arrange an appointment at the clinic myself. So I questioned this and was then asked who told me to contact my doctor. I replied my Surgeon, only to be told in these exact words. Well yer surgeon disnae work here. At that I hung up and called the clinic who could not have been anymore helpful and was told my doctors surgery had to arrange this by giving me an appointment sheet.So I called the doctors yet again and was then told that they knew that this was the procedure. When I asked why I wasn’t told this earlier they replied that it was not their job to do so. So I eventually got done what was needed. But I would STRONGLY URGE anyone who uses this practice to change to somewhere else. But if you like being spoken to like something on the bottom of your shoe or ridiculed about what real professionals have advised you then this is the place to be . Hopefully people will read this and vent their own opinion. Dows.
