As a female every time I have come here with a genuine issue, even via ambulance due to the urgency, everything has been blamed as hormonal and they always push it off onto someone else, blaming someone else, not a single doctor has taken even a minute to sit down have a look at what they’re dealing with and suggest a solution to anything, they won’t listen to anything I have to say (if in the rare chance I can understand them), and I have been sent away multiple times where it most definitely was not appropriate or safe to do so as I’ve then had to be rushed back hours later to then receive the same treatment. I am beyond sick and tired of the way the doctors treat patients.

On the day of my operation, The gown I was given was too small for me, as I am a larger lady. I was not offered operation socks. ( fortunately I brought my own because at my previous op, they had to cut them off as the size they gave me was too tight. ( A major improvement would be to have clothing that fits a larger person as one size does not fit all and it makes you feel undignified.) Information about the op was all very clear and theatre staff were very nice. Recovery staff were good. On the main ward not all nurses spoke good English and in some cases I was not being fully understood. I requested a nurse to fill my glass and all she kept saying to me was my jug was there. The general care on the ward was otherwise good. It took a very long time to be released from the ward. I was told in the morning I was going home and I was still there early evening.

I was looked after on Victory Ward following my surgery. The care I received from all staff was second to none and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the team on the ward.

A very busy and understaffed hospital for the size of the local population, but the staff were very kind and professional.

I have been to Medway Maritime Hospital several times this year and have nothing but praise for the way I was treated and looked after. Appointments were on time or only a few minutes late and all the staff who I saw, administrators, nurses and doctors, were friendly, welcoming and very efficient.

I was diagnosed during a CT scan for something else in January 2021 with a fibroid and was referred to Mr Habeeb at Medway Hospital. After doing some research on line and coming across this page, I knew straight away that I was in great hands and from what I can see the best of the best in Kent. I had my surgery on 14th January 2022 and Mr Habeeb was very caring, he came to see before surgery to explain everything, obliged with a photo of the offending fibroid and listened and answered all my questions both pre and post op. He also visited me the day after my op on ward to make sure I was feeling ok (was a Saturday!). Prior to my diagnoses I had serious white coat syndrome and with the care that I received at Medway with all staff but in particular Mr Habeeb literally has cured me off that. At my post op Mr Habeeb had noticed that I had lost more weight (which is always nice for someone to notice) and was very proud at how I had handled my recovery. I would 100% recommend Mr Habeeb for all things gynaecology and if I needed treatment in that area again I would not want to be treated by anyone else. I would also like to say that Mr Habeeb's secretary was also very helpful all the way through my journey. Thank you Mr Habeeb, I am so grateful and thankful.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer during the covid period. I was treated very quickly and with respect and dignity throughout in a very timely manner. I couldn't recommend the hospital highly enough - from the breast care team to the chemo unit (Dalton Day Care) and the surgical team (Mr Simonca).
