Mr J Osman-Farah and his clinical team have provided me with excellent care since I contacted them in absolute fear and desperation with agonising Trigeminal Neuralgia. Mr Osman-Farah performed a MVD to relieve my pain and the accompanying fear of sudden, unbearably painful attacks. His specialist team at The Walton Centre were communicative and hugely sympathetic to my plight. Since my operation in 2018, my life is once again worth living. Should I need further pain relief in the future, Mr Farah has gone out of his way to provide contact details to facilitate a speedy follow-up consultation should that ever be required. Ms J Hill

I had suffered with Trigeminal Neuralgia fo over 3 years. I had tried and tested so many different medications. Eventually, I became medically resistant and was in excrutiating, debilitating pain every day of my life. i was referred by my Neurologist to Mr Jibril Osman Farah (Neurosurgeon) and his team. We first spoke in March 2021. He took a brief medical history and arranged for me to have a MRI scan to confirm the condition. I had this scan which confirmed a blood vessel constricting the Trigeminal Nerve. All staff were excellent and made me feel at ease. Mr Farah's Receptionist - Louise was also extremely helpful throughout. I attended an appointment where Mr Farah explained all the different options available to me. He was very open and honest throughout and explained exactly what would happen and what could happen. We agreed upon a Microvascular Decompression Surgery - a brain surgery to relieve abnormal compression of a cranial nerve causing Trigeminal Neuralgia. My operation was sceduled for 22/11/2021. 3 days before my surgery, I atteneded hospital for a Covid Test. On the morning of my surgery, the Anesthesiologist and another member of Mr Farah's team came to see me in Caton Ward (agian fantastic, caring, professional staff.) They explained what was going to happen during the procedure before my operation. My surgery took over 6 hours, the blood vessel was coiled around the Trigeminal Nerve. These people are walking, talking, life changing Angels. I had my surgery on Monday 22/11/2021 and was discharged from hospital on Wednesday 24/11/2021. Mr Farah came to see me on Caton Ward to check on my progress and give advice. 10 days after my surgery, I attended the Walton Centre to have my sutures removed. Again, a very positive experience. I am forever grateful to Mr Farah, his entire team and all the staff who have played a part in my referal, surgery, recovery and a new beginning for my life. Thank You Everyone!

Mr Osman explained fully to me about my brain issues and how he believed they happened; he shared his findings with other colleagues to confirm his diagnosis. Once Mr Osman shared with me his findings; he gave me lots of time to ask questions; all of my questions were responded to fully; no question was considered too small for a full response. Mr Osman is very thorough in his approach to me as a patient. I have full confidence in Mr Osman as a Consultant Neurosurgeon and feel lucky to have him on my side.

With regards to the service and treatment I received from Mr Farah's team until now I am more than happy to state that I have been treated with concern and consideration leading up to the surgical operation undertaken recently, involving a balloon compression onto the Trigeminal nerve location. which was hoped would provide me with pain relief for up to 3 years. During the whole time I remained in the care of the hospital and Mr Farah's team I have no complaints. I do have a great appreciation of the standard of care and attention that I received.
