Dr Roberts is a general adult cardiologist, with particular interests in refractory angina, microvascular angina, the management of cardiovascular disease in women and the relationship between mental health and the heart. Initially appointed in the NHS at Queen Mary's Hospital Roehampton and the Royal Brompton, he is now works fulltime in private practise. Dr Roberts is an expert in External Counterpulsation therapy ECP (also known as External Enhanced Counterpulsation® in the USA). Counterpulsation is an innovative treatment to improve overall cardiovascular health.He was one of the foundign members of the international EECP society IEECP and lead the only ECP centres in the South of England.
