Prof Dr Veale was nothing less than understanding during my sister's initial assessment. He made her feel understood and gave her hope that with hard work she could have a better quality of life. I really like the fact that he could laugh with his patients, not to ridicule, but to support the patient in understanding that OCD rituals, in most cases, are ridiculous. He was honest with the diagnosis and the hard work that needed to be put in, which is exactly what patients need to hear. Especially, when successful outcomes are predominently down to the attitude and determination of the patient. In my opinion, to get a diagnosis and suggested therapy, from an expert is worth every penny. Especially as a report from Dr Veale could be pivitol in sourcing the right care for a loved one in the community.
