I was initially sceptical regarding having a hernia repair done privately, as I believe in the NHS - but due to long waiting lists and COVID I did so - I am so glad I did.
Professor Lloyd is amazing, he listened to my concerns and I felt that he tailored the type of hernia repair I received that was best suited to my needs. The anaesthetist was also wonderful, I have a history of being very ill following anaesthetic, again he listened to me, gave me full information of what to expect and I really did not suffer any after effects. The care I received during my stay was outstanding, it was actually a pleasant experience, I was back home the same evening and back at work after 2 weeks with very little disruption indeed.
The scar is aesthetically pleasing, I'm just so pleased with the whole experience and in an age where there's much to moan about - impressed with Professor Lloyds professionalism.
