I consulted Professor LLoyd because I had a femoral hernia and found him to be professional, knowledgable and very friendly. He inspired confidence with his clear explanation of the condition, the treatment and recovery process. I was concerned about having an operation because of a pre existing medical condition, but he reassured me that he would use keyhole surgery and that the intervention would be minor and straightforward and so it was.
I was well looked after by the hospital and Professor Lloyd's team both before and on the day of the operation. I arrived at 7 AM, had the operation at around 9.45. I was back on the ward at 10.30 and at home on my own sofa at 3.00 PM. The instructions I was given were very clear and the healing process went well.
