I came to see Professor Lloyd seeking a second opinion about a proposed course of treatment. Professor Lloyd’s approach was to partner with me. He did this by first listening to my oral report of history and conditions. Next, he studied the available test information. Then, applying his knowledge and expertise, he rendered, not a final conclusion, but his thoughts to discuss further jointly. Coupled with his engaging manner, Professor Lloyd’s patient empowering approach provided me with confidence to make my own decision about treatment.
