I first met Mr Srivastava when I was suffering from a very fast erratic heartbeat due to very leaky Mitral Valve. He explained that I would need surgery and gave details of what he proposed to do once I was fit enough to have surgery. I felt confident about him doing such a major operation. He rang my wife straight after the surgery to explain that it had been a bit more complicated than he had hoped and that my recovery might take a little longer than he had said but that he expected me to make a good recovery. He saw me several times following the operation, both in intensive care and on the ward, and was always friendly and easy to talk to. I was able to speak to him and his registrar by telephone once I had been discharged when I had concerns. Both my post operative appointments at 2 months and at 6 months were very thorough and supportive. I found Mr Srivastava to be very able, calm and friendly.
