I had my second knee replaced by Mr Desai, after a very short wait. Having had a my other knee replaced 18 months earlier and having had quite a traumatic experience I was concerned about the second operation.
Mr Desai listened to my concerns and explained what he would do. He also listened to my wife's point of view.
The surgery was scheduled for early morning and went ahead as planned. The doctor visited me afterwards and over the weekend following the surgery. He checked I was coping with the physiotherapy and that I was as mobile as expected.
He saw me after around six and twelve weeks post surgery and was delighted with my progress.
I have just had my annual review and the surgery has been a complete success.
I appreciate that I was fortunate to have had my surgery as an NHS patient at The Park Hospital, and I would highly recommend both the surgeon and the hospital.
