I had an appointment with Mr Bahrami, having been referred by my cardiologist. I found him unprepared for the meeting and he spent most of the time trying to catch up, studying the computer rather than talking with me. He may be a brilliant surgeon, but he did not impress me on this occasion. A rather brusque manner - and I wondered if he does better with private patients? (I have three friends who have seen him privately and they think he is absolutely brilliant). Maybe I got him on a bad day.
