Mr Tom Barker performed an EVAR on 17th February 2023 at Heartlands to repair my abdominal aortic aneurysm. In my view, he is a great surgeon and I am very grateful for his expertise and care. Immediately upon my arrival he put me at ease and, from that moment onwards, I had 100% confidence in him and his team. My care at Heartlands was wonderful and I am also grateful to the superb nursing team on Ward 4. The anaesthetist (didn’t get his name) was also excellent as was Mr Massimo Vezzosi who was the original consultant interviewing me. I can’t speak highly enough of the entire vascular team, including the specialist nurses Sarah and Clive - 100% patient focused, all doing outstanding work. Thank you, everyone.
