Prof Aziz is a good surgeon, I am sure, but I don't believe he has sufficient skills/experience in the particular medical procedure that I had done (occipital nerve stimulator). And following surgery, you will probably never see him again - you get handed over to someone else. If you are contemplating having this particular procedure done by Mr Aziz, my advice is, DO NOT!! Go to the National Hospital, London, instead, where they have had infinitely more experience. I would never, ever want anyone else to go through the experiences I had at the John Radcliffe Hospital. I had to have the procedure completely re-done at the National Hospital, London, and it was discovered that the way that Prof Aziz had inserted the electrodes in my neck meant that it couldn't even be called an occipital nerve stimulator - it was in a totally incorrect position, and therefore would never have worked correctly. It wasted so much time and agony. Nothing against Prof Aziz, and I'm sure he's had a lot of success in other areas of surgery, but PLEASE don't have this procedure done by him - I would absolutely hate to think that anyone else might have to suffer similar experiences to mine.
