I completely agree with the review above which speaks to Mr Bates' ability to connect with the patient (me!). I was reassured and delighted by his ability to explain my options in terms which were clear, honest and realistic, but also very human and compassionate. Besides being, in my judgement, a highly skilled surgeon, Mr Bates is a research scientist, which I believe gives him a greater insight into the more subtle and detailed aspects of the patient's condition. At least, that was true for me. Regardless of that, I highly recommend him, perhaps even moreso for nervous patients like me, for whom he was a most reassuring surgeon.
