Mr Bates is a splendid clinician and surgeon. Consultants can, occasionally, appear aloof or even arrogant. But Not Mr Bates. He listens actively, treats the patient with respect and focusses his entire attention exclusively on the patients needs. I have enjoyed consultations over about ten years and surgery recently, which was a first rate experience. I would not hesitate to recommend him unreservedly.
