After being on tamoxifen for 10 years and having the brca2 gene I had pre cancerous cells Mr Ayakannu recommend I have a full hysterectomy which at 1st I was shocked about. He explained everything in detail to me and that the surgery would be done with robotics which I didn’t have much knowledge about but it sounded like a great option.
On the day of surgery all the staff at the Liverpool women’s were amazing everything was explained in detail again and they all made me feel relaxed and confident, I only spent 1 night in hospital , I woke with hardly any pain and was up on my feet the next morning
It is 3 weeks since my surgery now life is back to normal I only have 5 small incisions in my tummy Which you can hardly notice I can not thank mr Ayakannu and the team enough
