Mr Irving genuinely listened to what my wife and I had to say about my condition ( it affects us both)-- its history and, importantly, our CONCERNS. We felt he "really" understood them. Without making us feel rushed he then discussed what was happening and why, with easy to understand diagrams, giving us plenty of time to ask questions which he patiently answered in "non medical" language. Mr Irving then gave us the surgical options, in a way we understood, addressing all our concerns in a personalised way.
We came away from the consultation feeling that we were NOT "just-another-patient" and as a result we now feel confident and reassured about following the treatment pathway under his care.
