My son Jonathan was admitted to James Cook Hospital in 2021 with Covid 19, pneumonia and sepsis, endocarditis with vegetation on Aortic Valve, he was extremely ill, his platelets were only 23 and he required emergency surgery because without it he would certainly have died, he was due to go down for surgery the next day but this was cancelled as the appointed surgeon refused to operate as he said Jonathan would not survive surgery, but without it he would definitely die. Our lovely Cardiologist Dr Thambyrajah pleaded with other surgeons at James Cook and Mr. Simon Kendall kindly agreed to do the surgery. Thankyou Mr Simon Kendall for your life saving skill and Dr Thambyrajah for your persistence in giving Jonathan a chance to live and for saving my son Jonathan’s life. It is now nearly 15 months since Jonathan had surgery, and his heart is strong. Thankyou again.
