Can’t praise or recommend this surgeon highly enough. I was referred to Mr Kutty by another Dr who literally didn’t know what to do with me as, in his opinion, I had very little wrong with me despite being in increasing amounts of pain for several years, an X-ray confirming shallow hip sockets and the fact I had been born breech with a hip dislocation. The original surgeon never bothered to take X-rays himself or look at the one I had taken which had led me to see him in the first place, an MRI was performed which he looked at and said apart from a little wear and tear and a cyst there was nothing much wrong. I was then given an injection into the hip which helped the pain for five weeks before I found myself back at square one. I went back to see him just to be told I definitely did not and may not ever need a hip replacement as there wasn’t that much wrong and there was nobody who would look at my MRI and even consider one at the moment, especially not on someone of my age, he was at a loss as to what to do with me so would refer me on to somebody for an arthroscopy but doubted the Dr would even say there was any point to that after looking at my MRI. Thank God he referred me to Mr Kutty as this man has literally given me my life back, he could tell just by examining me and reading the MRI that there was a problem, this was further confirmed by a series of X-rays he took, he said there was no point in an arthroscopy as it was clear I needed a hip replacement as my hip sockets were shallow and this had caused damage which was the cause of my pain, a few weeks later I had a hip replacement and am now pain free for the first time in years. I had to have a small bone graft from the cyst and Mr Kutty told me after surgery there were areas where there was no cartilage at all left just bone on bone which, going by the amount of pain I was in at times, did not surprise me to hear. As well as a great surgeon he is such a nice man, every time I was asked by nursing staff who my surgeon was I got the same response on mentioning his name, what a lovely man he was. He listened, was very thorough and completely reassuring throughout the whole process. I would encourage anybody in a position to choose their surgeon to deal with Mr Kutty, he is quite literally my saviour and I am forever grateful for his skill and care.
