My knees were deteriorating rapidly, making even everyday activities difficult. Having always been very active, I was keen to be able to resume the activities I love such as surfing and hiking. Mr Masud listened to me and offered me bilateral partial knee replacements using an insert designed to be robust and therefore withstand exercise. The first few days after surgery were extremely painful - but this pain dissipated consistently over time and by 4 weeks after surgery there was very little pain. I am now 8 weeks after surgery and am able to hike around 3.5 miles with no trouble and today, i returned to the sea and successfully rode a few waves! Saqib Masud is a master surgeon, no doubt and I am so thankful to him and his team - diolch o galon!
