Mr Rajaratnam operated on my 86 year old mother's knee (arthroscopy meniscectomy and chondroplasty) and the outcome was better than we could ever have hoped. At such a good age, any surgery is a worry especially where a general anaesthetic is required.
Mr Rajaratnam came to see my mother, father and myself before the operation and took the time to answer all our questions. He was extremely reassuring and really put us all at ease.
After surgery, mum was able to go home the same afternoon (sitting in a car!) after Mr Rajaratnam had been back to see us all and make sure mum was well enough to go home. We had expected a possible overnight stay as well as side effects but mum was so well with minimal pain (literally a couple of paracetamol that afternoon) and was walking pain free within a couple of days.
