I received a Birmingham Hip Resurfacing device implanted in my left hip at age 47 by Mr. Treacy in 2001. He implanted another in my right hip in 2003. These surgeries enabled me to resume karate training as if I were in my 30's. This year, 2021, will be the 20th anniversary of my older device. I continue to experience excellent usage of both of my hips and have continued to advance in my training beyond my wildest expectations. I can highly recommend Mr. Treacy as the finest hip surgeon in the world.
