Roger seems very good at what he does, and puts you at your ease. It helps that he smiles a lot and (based on my pre-op consultation) I reckon he is probably a great mentor to junior staff. My op was not as terrifying as I feared, which is largely down to his "bedside manner", as above. He does a great "good cop, bad cop" routine with his tall colleague [sorry I didn't catch his name], where the bad cop tells you everything that might go wrong, statistically speaking, then Roger says "but you don't need to worry". I was impressed by his pre-op estimate of "tourniquet time" which was pretty spot on.
