In 2015 I had a left knee replacement by a different surgeon. At the end of 2016 it went very wrong and doctors misdiagnosed the problem as rheumatism. Eventually the registrar told me he was sure this was a mechanical problem. Through a private consultation with a colleague if Mr Strachan I was referred to him for a very serious revision surgery which Mr Strachan carried out in April, 2018. Unfortunately, despite his meticulous care, I did get some infection. Mr Strachan was dedicated to watching over me every step of my recovery and has only now, 14 months later, discharged me.
Now, I need a right knee replacement and guess who I want to do that? Charing Cross Hospital gave great and concerned care throughout too.
