I consulted Mr Freeman ecause of pain in my ankle which turned out to be a ruptured tendon. His initial advice was to have an MRI scan to make sure that there was no 'permanent' reason for the rupture (such as a bone spur). After the MRI, which showed no problems other than the tendon rupture, he expained the options open to me. In the end I agreed that surgery was not appropriate at this stage and decided to undertake the excercises Mr Freeman recommended to reduce the problems the ruptured tendon wa causing. I liked Mr Freeman's clear and comprehensive explanation of both the problem and the options open to me, he did not try to persuade me that surgery was the best option. My only, minor, criticism is that I hd to follow up on the MRI scan myself, I expected to be called for a feedback consultation as soon as the MRI results were available.
