I was extremely apprehensive about my knee replacement and refused the operation for six years. However, due to mobility issues cause by severe pain I decided to go ahead with a referral. From the very first consultation I received with Mr Berber I felt reassured and listened to with regard to my concerns. Mr Berber was extremely empathetic towards my concerns regarding outcomes and the procedure itself. Whilst in the hospital Mr Berber visited me numerous times to explain what was going to happen, who would be involved and what to expect before, during and after my operation in order that I understood every aspect of my recovery and to alleviate any stress I was feeling. He showed compassion, concern, empathy and understanding throughout and I highly recommend him. I am now pain free in my right leg and Mr Berber will be replacing my left knee very soon.
