He was excellent in all respects but what I think was helpful to me was that before my operation he told me that I would feel him touching my face. This verbal cue was helpful as when you cannot see anything you would not know what to expect or when. Also, by talking and explaining during the operation I felt part of it rather than it was being inflicted on me. It also reassured me as I felt that it was going to plan.
