Share review of Mr Omer Karim
Having turned 50 last year, when the benefits options came around at work, I opted for a full health assessment. The PSA came back as 4.67 and triggered an mpMRI that came back with a couple of areas with PI-RADS scores of 4/5. A biopsy followed in November, with 6/20 samples being malignant with a Gleason score of 3 + 4.
Mr Karim ensured all options were discussed, including arranging follow up with a radiologist. Finally, taking into account Mr Karim's extensive experience, I opted for robotic assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy.
Recovery was great - only 2 weeks off work and back exercising after 3 weeks. Importantly, and perhaps because Mr. Karim used his own vesico-urethral anastomosis technique, I have had zero problems with incontinence.
