Mr Coombs very successfully repaired my inguinal hernia as a private patient. His care, manner and skill was obvious from the initial consultation onwards. He was reassuring over the impact of my complicating underlying health problems and successfully manged them in the lead-up, during and in the days after surgery. On his advice I opted for the spinal anaesthetic, and left hospital the evening of the procedure. A few days of discomfort followed, but no real pain. Thereafter progress was steady. As recommended I was able to walk fairly comfortably after the initial few days, and by 2 weeks after surgery was enjoying walking across country for 2.5 hours. Mr Coombs' care and skill is most highly recommended.
