Great experience from the very first appointment when we met Dr Mudussar Ahmad, a very polite and respectful doctor, who turned out to be the surgeon who performed my operation. From the first consultation with the surgeon, until the post-op follow-up, my case has been handled with care, dignity and efficiency, and the whole experience has been flawless. After suffering a great deal of pain, unable to walk without assistance, I have been referred by my GP to the hospital and I have been so lucky to get under Dr Ahmad`s care. He was very professional, a good listener and he provided me with excellent service. He went through my history and explained, what he felt would be my best options regards to treatment. We decided that surgery would give me the best opportunity to move forward and get my life back on track. The date was arranged there and then and, despite the long waiting lists that are to be expected for the NHS, we have been lucky to be seen at the date set for the appointment in the first place, with no delays. Although the knee replacement was the most difficult medical procedure I have experienced, I felt well taken care off. All staff in the hospital, including the surgeon and his resident where so polite, respectful and very professional at all times. My operation (done in July 2019) has already given me back a lot of movement and the pain has reduced significantly, to the point that I only take sparingly painkillers. There is a very fine scar, which I was well impressed with, comparing with the ones from my previous surgeries. I can walk normally, and I am even able to do squats, which I haven`t been in over 20 years! At the beginning of this process I was feeling very anxious especially about the operation, but my doctor has been wonderful and put me at ease, reassured me throughout, so I feel I could not have been in better hands!
