I was an outpatient having a LLETZ treatment. Doctor arrived late and seemed in a hurry to get through the procedure, which caused unnecessary pain. Poor bedside manner, no time taken to develop any kind of rapport or put me at ease before the procedure. Said very little, which created an anxious atmosphere. What he did say was spoken very quietly, which meant I didn't always know what was happening. Even the nurse didn't seem to know what was going on. Very different to my previous visits to Southmead's colposcopy clinic, which had been positive.
