I was referred to Mr Latimer as a private patient as I was suffering with acute left hip pain. From the outset he was extremely friendly, listening to what I had to say before making a careful examination of my hip. He then suggested a steroid injection into my hip, a proposal with which I was entirely happy. He said. and said that he would try to arrange an appointment for that procedure before Christmas but that proved to be impossible. An appointment was fixed for mid-January, which while longer than I would have liked was not unreasonable in view of the Christmas and New Year holidays and was outside Mr Latimer's influence as the procedure is to be carried out by an ultrasound specialist. Based on my experience with the same procure for my right hip, I am optimistic about the outcome.
