I found Mr Barkatali to be a very positive, confident professional. When I first met with him he explained that I would require a full Total Hip Replacement; he fully explained the procedure and welcomed any questions. Despite putting up with terrible pain for years I found it hard to except that I would have to have surgery. I discussed my fears and concerns with Mr Barkatali, he was very understanding and he agreed that although I was physically ready for the op, I would benefit by taking some time to mentally come to terms with it. I finally had my op in January 2018, this couldn’t of come quick enough as by now my hip had seriously deteriated. On the morning of my op he came along and asked if I had any questions or concerns? I was very anxious, even tears, he was great, I felt reassured and felt that I was in safe hands. I met up with him again at 7 weeks post op, all is going well; he was very pleased with my progress and since discharged. I would definitely recommend this surgeon.
