My journey started at 10:30am 21st of March 2017 at the Regency Hospital Macclesfield Cheshire I was seated in the waiting area when my name was called upon entering the examination room I was warmly greeted by Mr Barkatali. A very well dressed gentleman who had a commanding appearance his arm was outstretched upon shaking his hand I became aware of a firm no nonsense grip ,I made a comment to this effect "you need it "was the reply his manner was professional yet relaxed making me relaxed and giving me confident in this gentleman and the procedure that was to follow. At the Conclusion of the interview I was given a date for the operation ,it was to be on the 25th of March 2017 a matter of days away. I attended The Regency at 7am on the given date I was again seen by the immaculate Mr Barkatali once again with his firm hand shake and smile he reaffirmed what the procedure entailed to say I was relaxed is an understatement I do not believe I have ever been so relaxed and confident. I feel being relaxed and confident comes from Mr Barkatalis' presence after another hand shake and he's off with a "see you later", see me later he did while I was being given medication by Jonathan the anasethtist another very charming gentleman . Mr Barkatali came to me again checking on me and answering any last minute questions I had. I woke up in a room at the side of the theatre no pain, no discomfort just a wedge between my legs to keep them apart . From there I was taken back to my room and greeted by a very pleasant group of nursing staff, regular checks were made and medication given. Both Mr Barkatali and Jonathan visited me to enquire as to my recovery and well being . I was after an hour or so allowed to get up to see to my personal needs, physio visited I was able to walk with crutches with no pain or discomfort. Sunday was very much the same as the latter part of Saturday It was hard for me to believe that I no longer had pain or discomfort. On the Monday I enquired when or if I could go home and yes at about 11am Monday the 27th I was discharged . On Tuesday the 2nd of May I again saw Mr Barkatali after an examination by him I was discharged from his expert care. I cannot say enough good words about the care that I was given by Mr Barkatali. He has through his excellent skills turned my life around to the point I can enjoy it without pain. I hope that those who read these comments will be encouraged to undergo the operation and entrust themselves to Mr Barkatali's expert care. .
