Mr Ludger Barthelmes

I would recommend Mr Barthelmes, who is an amazing breast cancer consultant, who has been kind and caring. He is always ready to put the needs of his patients first and understands how difficult it is to hear a diagnosis and what the planned treatment will be: he gives you time to process it. He always made sure I knew all aspects of the treatment and diagnosis so that I could understand what was going to happen. He is one of the most compassionate doctors I have met, who loves his profession.

I was under the care of mr barthelmus for a year and had appointments with him sometimes on a weekly basis. He was very kind and polite, very thorough in his explanations and patiently answered every question I repeatedly asked. He would do a routine visit after an operation (I have since found that other surgeons do not do this) I have found that he is well liked and respected by a lot of colleagues and patients and I totally trusted him whilst I was in his care.
