Mr Kunasingam was a ultimate professional. Taking the time and showing empathy when understanding my continuous ankle sprains, he provided a proactive treatment plan and reassurance by answering all my banal questions. After having x-rays and an MRI, we reviewed the results together and Mr Kunasingam outlined what options I had, with the various pros and cons of each. I elected for an ankle arthroscopy and double ligament reconstruction, which was operated on at a date of my choice. The surgery went smoothly, and post op pain very manageable. The speed of my recovery has been really positive. Instead of being stuck in a full cast, the surgery being keyhole meant I was only on crutches for 2 weeks, then I could weight bare after in a special boot, and with the help of a robust physio programme meant I could walk in normal footwear before 6 weeks. I am very positive for a total recovery allowing me to continue my passion of running, and encourage others to have this surgery if they present with similar issues. I should have done this sooner.
